Their are walkers about enjoying their leisure time , as well as some surfers preparing to surf the waves.Strandhill beach is in northwest Ireland in the county of Sligo and it's part of the renowned Wild Atlantic Way.
Famous for it's waves, this beach is frequented with surfers, not just in the summer but all year round!
There are numerous surfing schools around and prices are competitive and generally good value.
Strandhill village is nearby and it's restaurants boast the freshest fish to be eaten by far.
In the distance Ben Bulben mountain can be seen and is a very picturesque and scenic image.
