All through the 1960's it has been the centre of attention of the superpowers to see who would get there first!
This image depicts the Moon, not quite full but on it's way there, as a splendid sphere of isolation. With it's vast craters and chasms it seemingly is devoid of life but not of character and as a person gazes skyward at this object, one can't help feeling curious about the mystery and unanswered questions that it poses.
Curious fact......the Moon landing hoax became a talking point in the seventies when it was claimed that the whole thing was staged in a Hollywood type set with fake spacecraft etc. It came to a head when one of the astronauts who was on that mission decked a reporter who asked him about the hoax claims !
