Lough Boora is a discovery park not far from the Offaly town of Kilcormac in the Midlands of Ireland.This image is of the "Sky Train" , a means in the olden days to transport turf and good to areas around Lough Boora.
Spent bogs and disused railways have huge eco-tourism potential. Irelands largest landowners are Bord na Mona and Irish Rail which between them own hundreds of thousands of acres , most of it just lying idle and disused for years.
There are several ambitious projects underway to restore Irelands boglands into a wetland Savannah-like wonderland and hopefully attract thousands of tourists every year.
Irish Rail owns nearly 1,000 miles of disused tracks and railway embankments,which once upon a time linked every town and village around the country, and are keen to transform these old lines into cycle tracks and walkways.
Their is a pilot project underway in Bellacorick county Mayo, which has rewetted parts of a large bog and has shown , over time that birds, wildlife and plants have flourished in this area.
The prints come with a numbered and signed CERTIFICATE OF AUTHENTICITY and is packaged in a transparent photo sleeve.
The A4 image can be printed up in a Gloss finish, whichever the customer wants.
The A5 image is printed up using glossy photo paper.
